The best tour agency I've ever had. Highly recomended. I am so glad and thankful for choosing Nomad's Land for my Kyrgyz travel experience. They were the only tour that listened to my wishes and tried to implement them all. They literally left not even one desire unfulfilled: The other tours I contacted were unable to provide me with a yurt accommodation in lake Song-Köl. Alex was great with communicating and organising our custom trip before hand. The trip itself was fantastic. He knew the area really well and we had great fun, ski touring in the Suusamyr area. He speaks the local language and knows families to stay with, which gave us a glimpse into the Kyrgyzstan hospitality and their traditions. I want to go back and see more of the fascinating and beautiful country.

I have been to Kyrgyzstan several times, the most beautiful trips I have had the opportunity to do. Each time Nomad's Land has organized my stays and I would like to thank them here for their professionalism and dedication.

Sincerely, all the services were perfect: guide, hotel, accompaniment following the loss of luggage (by plane), rapid recovery, listening, explanations, sightseeing tours, full and copious meals, logistics, welcome at local people's homes, discovery of the country's customs and nature, .... Then the mountains, frankly a perfect service despite the language difficulties, expedition tent meals shower at altitude safety drink acclimatisation comfort ...... Yes, afterwards at 6000 or 7000 it's cold, but we suspected it ...... In short, we'll certainly be back next year to .... higher with the same guide and the SAME service ....

Very reliable and good organization! Have helped us all around to plan our road trip, big plus: very flexible people, adapt their trips to your personal requirements and works with local partners (cool if you want to learn the local culture and inhabitants). Also renting camping/trekking equipment and possible to stay the night/eat in their guesthouse (Bishkek). Highly recommend this for travelers! FYI: the guide Shamil is amazing and very funny (we did a Song Kol Horse trip with him)

Working with Nomad's Land was amazing. I was able to completely customize my 3 day horseback tour through the Chong Kemin National Park. The guides they provided were amazing. We arrived in Bishkek with no plans. We went to the Nomad's Land office and they were really helpful. They tailored a trip for us and the organisation was incredible. We got to do some horse trekking and some hiking with knowledgeable guides. We definitely recommend (100%!!). Greetings to all the team !

An incredible 8-day experience in the south of Kyrgyzstan, a transhumance with the Nomad's Land agency. Not necessarily reassured since a novice in horse riding, but well taken into account by Fabien our guide (French!), With a full day of discovery before starting the journey. What I particularly appreciated: the privileged relationship with the family. We made this transhumance with the whole family of Kyrgyz herders and shepherds (about ten people), our guide, and only 3 tourists. An exceptional memory to sleep in the middle of this family in the Yurt built a little earlier in the middle of nowhere. As much as following and leading the sheep in the middle of valleys, mountains and gigantic scenery. A big thank you to our guide Fabien for all his anecdotes about the country, who will have transmitted to us his love (even obsession!) Of the country! If you dream of wide open spaces, and are not afraid of the cold (the temperature can go down at night in these mountains!) Go for it!

I had been to Kyrgyzstan before, but only to the cities and to Issyk Kul. However, I really wanted to get out of the cities and visit more of the countryside and do some trekking through Naryn Oblast especially. The tour with Nomad's Land was excellent for this purpose as there were treks around Issyk Kul, Song Kul, as well as in the mountains near the Chinese border around the caravanserai at Tash Rabat, the last 3 of which we got to stay in yurts and witness nomadic life -- especially near Song Kul. The tour began in Bishkek and the guide was very knowledgeable about the city and the country. Afterwards the hikes were at various altitudes to acclimatize us, finally finishing with a horseback ride and hike at over 4000 meters. This last one was rough for me (I'm 54 years old), but with the previous hikes, I managed to make it. Actually, the horseback riding wore me out more than the hiking, but it was fun and the guides around the country were all helpful and great. There were also cultural things we did as well, like visit a yurt maker and have traditional Kyrgyz meals in peoples' homes. All in all, a very worthwhile and enjoyable trip that gives a great overall picture of Kyrgyzstan.

Alex Johnson is a tour guide par excellence, especially for English-speaking visitors. He is very knowledable about Kyrgyzstan, considerate, flexible, and a born problem-solver. Combined with his detailed knowledge of off-the-beaten-path sights and wonders plus his many friendships with locals everywhere, a traveler cannot go wrong picking Alex as a companion. I know because we toured the mountains together for two weeks of glorious fun

Excellent organization due in particular to the efficiency of our (French-speaking) guide Nurbek. We spent a month in Kyrgyzstan trekking in the regions of Enylchek Glacier, Song Kul Lake, Sary Mogol Valley and Peak Lenin Base Camp. For those who love the mountains and the glaciers: to recommend!
