"Visit to Kyrgyzstan = Nomad’s Land"

Our stay in the country boils down to this. An unforgettable experience!

The whole team is very competent and responsive.

The country is amazing. We did 17 days and visited incredible and untouched corners.

I recommend the nights with nomadic shepherds. Magical moments!

With the help of Nomad's Land we had one of the most unforgettable trips of our lives this winter. Starting in Bishkek we headed east towards Karakol where our adventure was set to start. We spent 10 days exploring the region surrounding Issyk Kul and Song-Kul, crossing valleys, streams and mountains on horseback with our wonderful guide Mikel. The experiences we had during our trip would not have been possible without the network and organization of Nomad's Land. Within a week of our trip ending we have already started to look at the other trips they have to offer and will definitely travel with them again in the future. While traveling in the winter is not always the easiest, the trip we had was certainly rewarding. If you are up for the challenge, Kyrgyzstan in the winter is a special experience that more people should consider!

We had the opportunity to call on the services of "Nomadsland" during our crossing of Tajikistan by the M41. The advice of Samuel, the driver and the accommodation offered in Murgab and SaryTash made it possible for us to have an unforgettable trip. We highly recommend this agency for the quality of services and its professionalism. In addition, Samuel communicates in excellent French!

On our tour with Nomadsland everything was perfect, and it was one of the vacations of our life time. From the first day we contacted Fabian we were pleasantly surprised by the dedication and commitment he had put to build and organise the tour. Before and during the trip the communications was excellent and we were very impressed with the arrangements made for the entire trip. It was a unique experience and opportunity to see the untouched landscapes, spend time with local families and enjoy Kyrgyz hospitality. The Yurts family chosen by Nomadsland were simple however the overall experience was authentic. We were very happy by not being surrounded by any tourists. The accommodation and food was excellent. Our driver / guide made the trip really memorable. They have wealth of knowledge of Kyrgyzstan’s history, culture and geopolitical situation. It was worth having them with us as they really helped us connecting with Kyrgyzstan and understand the country. We are very happy that we chose Nomandsland and are looking forward to plan another journey. Many thanks to Fabian, Aizhan, Sergi. It felt that we were invited in Kyrgyzstan rather than being on the tour.

Nomad's Land were brilliant organising a week tour for 4 friends and myself. Fabien really listened to what we wanted. No cities, beautiful nature, some hikes and seeing the people. The tour he designed couldn't have been better. Our guide Alex was incredibly knowledgeable about Krygyzstan, he was relaxed and nothing was ever a problem. We loved our holiday, learned a lot and can't recommend this company enough.

1 week of exploration around Kel-Suu at the top, despite the vagaries of the weather. We can only salute the seriousness and professionalism of the agency. Easy contact, team attentive. In addition to being able to discover a place that is difficult to access for independent hikers - and absolutely superb - we also took a real pleasure in getting into Kyrgyz culture more deeply. A big thank you to our great guide for having motivated us whatever the circumstances, inventing new recipes based on kurut and allowing us to better understand the country. We hope to be able to leave with Nomad’s Land as soon as possible!

We had the opportunity to travel to Kyrgyzstan thanks to Nomad's Land. The immersion was complete, the choice of addresses and places to visit perfect, with a guide and tour designer (Fabien) very caring! Do not hesitate to visit this beautiful country with Nomad's Land!

Traveling with another student in February 2018, I was able to appreciate the high quality service provided by the Nomad's Land team. She was able to answer us immediately, and draw with us in the space of a few hours a course adapted to our desires on the south shore of Lake Issy-Kul, starting from Bishkek. The advice on places to see and people to stay with (the eagle hunter, the Skazka canyon, Jety Oguz), as well as the prior organization of transfers and walks were excellent, and in fact this trip was more successful. The service is worth its price. I recommend !

A group of friends and I booked a trip with Nomad's Land. It was absolutely terrific. Alex was a great guide. He was flexible and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Nomad's Land. The trip was designed to suit our interests and we were very satisfied with the results. Thanks for an excellent adventure.

Barbara

I had been to Kyrgyzstan before, but only to the cities and to Issyk Kul. However, I really wanted to get out of the cities and visit more of the countryside and do some trekking through Naryn Oblast especially. The tour with Nomad's Land was excellent for this purpose as there were treks around Issyk Kul, Song Kul, as well as in the mountains near the Chinese border around the caravanserai at Tash Rabat, the last 3 of which we got to stay in yurts and witness nomadic life -- especially near Song Kul. The tour began in Bishkek and the guide was very knowledgeable about the city and the country. Afterwards the hikes were at various altitudes to acclimatize us, finally finishing with a horseback ride and hike at over 4000 meters. This last one was rough for me (I'm 54 years old), but with the previous hikes, I managed to make it. Actually, the horseback riding wore me out more than the hiking, but it was fun and the guides around the country were all helpful and great. There were also cultural things we did as well, like visit a yurt maker and have traditional Kyrgyz meals in peoples' homes. All in all, a very worthwhile and enjoyable trip that gives a great overall picture of Kyrgyzstan.

Alex Johnson is a tour guide par excellence, especially for English-speaking visitors. He is very knowledable about Kyrgyzstan, considerate, flexible, and a born problem-solver. Combined with his detailed knowledge of off-the-beaten-path sights and wonders plus his many friendships with locals everywhere, a traveler cannot go wrong picking Alex as a companion. I know because we toured the mountains together for two weeks of glorious fun

Excellent agency, run by professionals and great enthusiasts of Central Asia. I needed a guide and a tailor-made trip for my photography activity. Thanks to Nomad's Land, I was able to discover everything I wanted and benefit from the advice and recommendations of enthusiastic people.

Nomad's Land organized a rich itinerary to fit my time constraints and I was blown away. As much as some of the excitement can be attributed to Kyrgyzstan's unparalleled beauty, it was the access to ancient modes of life that Nomads Land facilitated and which swept me off my tired feet. I could taste local hospitality in the settings from yesteryear, swallow a wealth of landscapes where late autumn Eastmancolor competed, mostly successfully, with precocious winter's monochrome. Bakyt, my triingual guide, was super-attentive to my whims and patient with my zombie Russian. From yurts to eagle hunting, textile weaving to archaeology, hikes to simply zoning out to soak up the local flavors - it was all one could wish for in such a short period of time and more. Highly, highly recommended.

I found within Nomad's Land exactly the values I was looking for: An association on a human scale where the organizers (among others Fabien Selosse and AJ Johnson) get involved personally to meet the needs, requests and desires of the participants. An association whose goal is to discover - and even more: to promote - the populations and local traditions. They take us out of our European comfort with skill and control so that we can get closer to the reality of the nomadic populations of Kyrgyzstan. The local guides who accompanied us were professional, genuine and trustworthy. The landscapes are breathtaking. I was able to practice my passion for two weeks in a magical context and in all serenity. A unique experience, an exceptional trip! I only want to go back! You will understand, Nomad's Land is an association that I recommend 100%.

Went on a ski/yurt tour with them in Jan 2019. No complaints, driver and guide were excellent, homestays were good. Highly recommended, especailly when I hear from friends about other tours that were nowhere near as good with other companies! Would maybe head back, but snow quality very variable. Summer is the time to go, for hiking.

The best tour agency I've ever had. Highly recomended. I am so glad and thankful for choosing Nomad's Land for my Kyrgyz travel experience. They were the only tour that listened to my wishes and tried to implement them all. They literally left not even one desire unfulfilled: The other tours I contacted were unable to provide me with a yurt accommodation in lake Song-Köl. Nomad's Land was on the contrary very ccoperative. Especially once I knew that the yurt camp owners in Song-Köl waited extra for me before leaving, I was very touched. It seemed to me that Nomad's Land has a wide network of contacts in Kyrgyzstan and they have long and solid experience in the country. The people, yurt camps and hotels Nomad's Land work with, are beyond what I call good. They are perfectly chosen. Thank you Bakyt for not leaving even one desire unfulfilled and cheers to the whole team, including the guide Timurlan and the managers Alex and Samuel.
