Imagine stepping into a realm where the air is crisp and the sun bestows its golden touch more generously than anywhere else at similar elevations. Nestled at the mouth of the Djergalan River, just 10 kilometers northeast of Karakol and a scenic drive of 390 kilometers from Bishkek, lies the climatic-balneo-mud sanatorium "Djergalan."

This sanctuary, perched at an elevation of 1624 meters above sea level, offers a retreat that is not just a visit, but a journey into the rejuvenating embrace of nature. About four decades ago, the relentless pursuit of geologists uncovered a treasure not of gold or gems, but of deep, hot mineral waters with healing properties. It was here that the foundations of the Sanatorium Djergalan were laid, creating a haven for those seeking respite and restoration.

The sanatorium, a proud member of the "Kyrgyz Sovietcourt" association, continues to be a beacon of health and wellness, remembered fondly by many for its unique offerings. The climate here is an elixir in itself, characterized by its mountain purity and an atmospheric pressure that whispers of ancient, untouched spaces. The air, low in pressure but high in promise, carries a dryness that, coupled with an abundance of sunshine—totaling 2646 hours annually—offers conditions that surpass those of renowned resorts like Sochi and Nalchik.

This generous sun, bathing the sanatorium in 700 more hours of light than Sochi and 1000 more than Nalchik, plays a pivotal role in the climatic treatments offered. As you wander through this serene locale, each breath of the mountain air and each moment under the sun's nurturing rays is not just a step toward better health, but a step deeper into a connection with the natural world. Sanatorium Djergalan isn't merely a place to visit; it's a place to experience, to heal, and to remember with gratitude.
