Discover 3 days the nomad's life of yak's shepherds of the Chong Alay Pamir

You will cross the fast flowing rivers and high mountains through the power of Kyrgyz horses, the most important animals to remain nomads of ancient times. During this journey, you will encounter nomads short of Son Kul lake and get to know their culture and traditions people.

Program

D 1 / Sary-Mogol village - Sary-Mogol valley South

Meeting with our guide. Departing from Sary-Mogol following the Kalka Toer river. Passing the jaïloo of Kara Bel, then the defile of the river Jiptik Suu. We ride on old dirty road to foot of the pass. If the weather is favorable, we hike to the pass or the less 180m vertical drop. In the afternoon, descent to Sary-Mogol Jailoo, on the foot of the peak Bekmat (4483m.). Night at the yurt camp.

D 2 / Sary-Mogol valley South - Sary-Mogol valley South

In the morning we ride along the defile until high lakes of Sary-Mogol. A landscape of high mountains. Thirteen lakes are surrounded of glaciers. Color of the water depend on filtration through the moraine. If the weather is favorable, we can hike to the Sary Moghol pass (4303m.) or to tongues of glaciers. In the middle of afternoon, back to jailoo Sary Mogol. We will spend the night and dinner in a yurt.

D 3 / Sary-Mogol valley South - Sary-Mogol village

We ride up to the sources of the Korumdu river, then we reach the plateau of Kaltatoer. (high point 4069m.). In the afternoon, ride down to Balykty river back to Sary-Mogol village. (30km, 6h)

D 4 / Sary-Mogol valley South - Sary-Mogol village

We horseride on to the source of the river Korumdu, then we will reach a plateau Kaltator. (High point 4069m.). In the afternoon, we will go down to the river Balykchy back to the village of Sary-Mogol. (30km, 6h)

Remarks:

Since July 27, 2012, the visa is not any more required for the persons of Swiss, EU, US, Canadian and Japanese nationalities (in total 44 new countries, for more information visit nomadsland.kg); passport should be with minimum of 6 months validity for period of 60 days maximum. Vaccination is not mandatory.

Only our tour guide is authorized to take the necessary decisions. Prices are calculated daily and are subject to change in case of wide fluctuations in prices or exchange rates.

Though Kyrgyzstan evidenced caravans over 3000 years it is still a young developing country and infrastructure of villages is not at a very high level. Refusing hospitality might be offensive and in order to avoid misunderstanding one had better to read some guidebooks and other books about Kyrgyzstan before getting prepared to visit.
