Ruslan, son of Kenjibek, follow traces of his father, a shepherd from the village of Kyzart. Each summer, then go to the Song Kul's lake with cattle and their yurts. Ruslan is handsome person and living in his yurt, you will taste the real nomadic life of Song Kul.

In winter, hiking to Ruslan's yurt camp is one of the most exciting trip in Kyrgyzstan. You will feel how you are far from the civilization. You can reach the lake by horse, by ski or on showshoes.

A lovely yurt camp from the local ecotourism association CBT on the South shore of the Issyk Kul lake. The yurt camp is open all the year around. 

Bel Tam is a really nice place to stay on the beach of Issyk Kul lake. The lake is within walking distance from the camp. Backpackers are authorized to put their tent next on the territory of the camp and use the commodities of the camp, for 3 dollars per day. Some yurts are equipped with standard single beds, some yurts are equipped with toshoks, the traditionnal kyrgyz bedding, made out of several layers of stuffed carpets.

Children discount : free till 6 years old; 6 to 12 years old 50% discount.

Meals are taken in the big yurt-canteen. The food is really nice, and diverse. Vegetarian-friendly!

The outside canteen is also really delightful, next to the bar. Beer, vodka, cognac and sodas are usually available for sale. Hot shower and western toilets available. Possible to do laundry (charged). Electricity available to reload electronic equipments. No WIFI but a play ground for kids.

Bel Tam camp is really busy during summertime, make sure to book your yurt beforehand!

Access to the camp:

From the village of Bokonbaevo, follow the road going north-east towards the village of Ton. Before the entrance of Ton village, turn left (there is only one asphalted road available). Follow this road UNTIL THE END, even if you think that there is no road anymore. The yurt camp is on the beach.      

Ak-Tash (which means "white stone" in Kyrgyz) lies at the foot of the great forests of Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley. The red rock hills form an incredible contrast between the blue Issyk Kul lake and the large meadows covered with edelweiss. In summer, the Ak-Tash yurt camp provides a stopover for overnight stays if you come on horseback or on foot from the Jukku Valley or Jeti Oguz. In winter, yurts become a base camp for ski touring. It is situated 15km south from chef-lieu Kyzyl-Suu. An ideal place to enjoy the slopes of Siuttu Bulak, Giukiuro, Burgan-Suu, and the mountains overlooking the Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu Gorge. Gradients of more than 1500 meters and descents of more than 6 km are possible in this region. The hot springs of Chong Kyzyl Suu are located 4km upstream, before reaching the geophysical station located 4km higher than the springs.

The camp is equipped with a sauna and a comfortable toilet. Our cook will prepare you with love of typical dishes of the region. In winter, one can also observe a rock of jade hidden in the bed of the river and visible only in winter. Price per person is for one night inside a traditional yurt, including 3 meals and banya (russian sauna). 50% discount for kids under 10 y.o. 6 person per yurt maximum, 12 beds capacity at the camp.

Le camp de yourtes d'Ötmök est un petit camp de yourtes d'hiver destiné aux touristes souhaitant expérimenter ce mode de vie en hiver. C'est un spot exceptionnel pour partir en randonnée à ski ou en raquettes. Il y a deux yourtes en tout. L'une sert de cuisine et de refectoire, et l'autre sert de dortoir commun (8 personnes maximum). Les yourtes sont bien chauffées, la température y est agréable, mais il est indispensable d'avoir un sac de couchage avec soi. Pas d'eau courante, la toilette se fait à l'extérieur dans un petit lavabo approvisionné en eau chaude sur demande, pour une toilette de chat et le brossage des dents. Les toilettes sont des latrines simples à distance des yourtes. Les repas sont préparés par vos hôtes qui vous régaleront des meilleurs plats kirghizes pendant votre séjour chez eux!
