D 1 / Drive to Bokonbaeva

Transfer Bishkek - Bokonbaeva. 280km

The road takes up the valley of Chuy, to arrive at the lake Issyk Kul, the 2nd biggest mountain's lake to the world after Titicaca. The road passes by the south bank of the lake Issyk Kul, very authentic and surprising landscapes between forests and desert. Installation at the inhabitant in Bokonbaeva or under yurt by the lake.

Options: rafting in the river of Chuy or Chong Kemin, visit of the ancient cities: Ak-Beshim, Navekat or Burana; trek of 3 hours in the canyon of Konorchek (Kyzyl Terek); meeting with a hunter provided with an eagle; visit of the producers of yurts of the village of Kyzyl Tuu.

Issyk Kul lake

D 2 / Bokonbaeva - Kyzyl Suu village

Early in the morning, we will go along the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Stop at the cemetery Manjili Ata and religious center Alaam Ordo. Walk in the fairy tale canyon, walk to waterfall of Barskoon. Transfer to the village of Kyzyl Suu. Overnight at local residents.

D 3 / Kyzyl Suu village - Jeti Oguz sanatorium

After breakfast, quick transfer to Ak-Tash, then horseback riding in the Chong Kyzyl-Suu valley. In winter, we see two frozen waterfalls. Picnic in the mountains or in the refuge of the Geo-physical station. After riding down, swimming in a warm pool. Then transfer to the village Jeti-Oguz. Night in guesthouse.

D 4 / Jeti Oguz sanatorium - Bishkek

Early in the morning, we will go on horseback to a waterfall on the Bright Glade.  At the foot of the waterfall, we will leave the horses themselves will walk to the waterfall. After a picnic, we ride down to the sanatorium and transfer to Bishkek. Overnight in our guesthouse.

Remarks:

Since July 27, 2012, the visa is not any more required for the persons of Swiss, EU, US, Canadian and Japanese nationalities (in total 44 new countries, for more information visit nomadsland.kg); passport should be with minimum of 6 months validity for period of 60 days maximum. Vaccination is not mandatory.

Though Kyrgyzstan evidenced caravans over 3000 years it is still a young developing country and infrastructure of villages is not at a very high level. Refusing hospitality might be offensive and in order to avoid misunderstanding one had better to read some guidebooks and other books about Kyrgyzstan before getting prepared to visit.
