Horseback riding on the high steppes of Ak-Shirak mountains.

This program suit to experienced horse rider, starting from the middle of the high plateau of Karasay, crossing the Ak-Shirak, Soek and Terskey Alatoo ranges. It's finishing on the shore of the Issyk Kul lake. 

Program

D 1 / Bishkek - Komandatur of Karasay

Transfert to Karasay via Barskoon gorge. Pick up the horse guide from Barskoon then drive to Karasay. Lunch by the road. Next to  the evening coming to Karasay, place of meeting with our horse guide. Dinner and night in tents.

D 2 / Komandatur of Karasay - Choloktor valley

After breakfast exploring the mountains on the way to Cholokbel 20 km. Camp on south side of Djetimbel pass. Night in tents.

D 3 / Choloktor valley - Djetimbel valley

In the morning going up to the pass Djetimbel,  then slowly going down close to Djetimbel lake. Night in tents.

D 4 / Djetimbel valley - Juku valley

This day riding to Chokoli lakes then crossing the Djuukku pass. Following the ancient Silk Road. Camp at 2800 m. Night in tents.

D 5 / Juku valley - Kashkator (Ashu Kashka-Suu valley)

In the morning we ride down the Juku valley, then up in the Ashu Kashka Suu valley till the Kashkator gorge.

D 6 / Kashkator (Ashu Kashka-Suu valley) - Kashkator (Ashu Kashka-Suu valley)

Exploring day to the Kashka Suu lakes. Back to the same camp. Night in tents.

D 7 / Kashkator (Ashu Kashka-Suu valley) - Kyzyl Suu village

Going to Kyzyl Suu village via Djuuku valley and red canyon. Night in homestay.

Issyk Kul

D 8 / Kyzyl Suu village - Bishkek

Transfert to Bishkek via Kyzyl Tuu village(visit yurt production center) and Kochkor village (visit handcraft center). 

Manas International Airport

D 9 / Bishkek - Manas International Airport

Depending on your flight time, your guide will join you to the airport and help you check in for your flight.  If your flight is later in the day your guide will show you more places in Bishkek before your flight.

Remarks:

Since July 27, 2012, the visa is not any more required for the persons of Swiss, EU, US, Canadian and Japanese nationalities (in total 44 new countries, for more information visit nomadsland.kg); passport should be with minimum of 6 months validity for period of 60 days maximum. Vaccination is not mandatory.

Only our tour guide is authorized to take the necessary decisions. Prices are calculated daily and are subject to change in case of wide fluctuations in prices or exchange rates.

Though Kyrgyzstan evidenced caravans over 3000 years it is still a young developing country and infrastructure of villages is not at a very high level. Refusing hospitality might be offensive and in order to avoid misunderstanding one had better to read some guidebooks and other books about Kyrgyzstan before getting prepared to visit.
