Horse riding at Issyk Kul Lake

A loop following Scythian's kurgans

Two days of easy ride on sand and dirty roads from the village of Kyzyl Suu, chef-lieu of the Jeti Oguz district, to Issyk Kul lake and back. On the way, we can observe kurgans, which are still keeping their secrets. But the spot of this program is the sandy and wild beaches of Kyzyl Suu and the hot sources.

Discover the wild beaches and the hot sources of Kyzyl Suu

This short discovery on horseback is carried out with a community of families from the region and is part of our eco-tourism development. This loop can be done all year round.

Nomad's Land organized for us, two colleagues, a weekend trip to Chon-Kemin. It was wonderful. They were very responsive to our wishes. The whole experience was very enjoyable. The guesthouse was simple, but fine, with a great host. Beka, our guide, led us expertly. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks, Fabien, for the great organization and the good advice.

Great team here, they know how to take care of you. Very humble and friendly. We spent a week in southern part and they managed it really well. The place in Bishkek is great, on a quiet street but not too far from centre. Very impressed and will highly recommend.

On your way

Kyzyl Suu village KG

The chief-town of the district of Jeti Oguz, one of the largest district of Kyrgyzstan. With 5000 inhabitants it is a quite big village. Kyzyl Suu is situated 10 km away from Issyk-Kul-Lake. On the other side of the village are the Tien-Shan-Mountains. The village itself is a typical Kyrgyz village. You can go and enjoy the little bazaar or have a look at the mosque, as well as the old church. On Sundays, there is an interesting animal market. In the village you have everything you need. There are a few little stores, as well as a park. From this village you can start to different treks on foot or by horse. Other curiosities are : the quite near beach, hot springs and a sanatorium.

Bay of Kyzyl Suu KG

The largest bay of the Issyk Kul lake. There are also few hot springs and wild sandy beaches.

Rural development in Nepal

The Nepalko Sathi association leads its actions in favor of the Sherpas of Khembalung in the Arun valley (Province of Koshi).

Nepalko Sathi

From Tumlingtar airport we reach by jeep the small town of Kahandbari where we are greeted by Kibutie and his family. From there, we climb to the small village of Gontala, in the heart of the actions of Nepalko Sathi (three days of walking), then we go up to Saissima, where Tendi Sherpa is rehabilitating the hamlet of his childhood. From Saissima it is possible to continue and make a loop towards Makalu and the impressive surrounding peaks (under tent).
