The Hamid Karzaï International airport is situated 5km on the North-East of the Chawk e Fawara e Ab crossroad, at the end of the Bibi Mahru Bvd. It was build in 1960 by the USSR.
The new terminal is reserved for international flight, and the old one for national flights. Today, these companies operate to/from Kabul : Ariana, Kam Air, Turkish, Emirates, FlyDubai, Air Arabia, Pakistan International, Air India, Iran Air, Koweit Air, Mahan and Spicejet. The most popular route start from Dubaï.
