Pass a nice weekend skiing at the ski resort of Too-Ashuu in the valley of Suusamyr

The ski resort of Too-Ashuu is situated at the altitude of 3000 meters, so it's the highest skibase in Kyrgyzstan. You will pass the evening in a local family in Suusamyr village and enjoy a hot Kyrgyz sauna.

D 1 / Skiing at Suusamyr

After breakfast, you will be on the road till the Suusamyr valley, on the main road M41. The ski resort of Too-Ashuu is situated at 3000 m. alt. just after the tunnel crossing the Kyrgyz Alatoo range. There are 1 chair lift and 1 surface lift, covering 3 slopes of about 3km each. After your ski day, you take the road to the village of Suusamyr. You will try the Kyrgyz sauna. Dinner and overnight at local family house.

D 2 / Skiing at Suusamyr, night in Bishkek

After breakfast, you will be on the road to the ski resort (25km), then you will enjoy ski slopes till end of the afternoon. Drive to Bishkek (120km). Overnight in our guesthouse.

Remarks:

Since July 27, 2012, the visa is not any more required for the persons of Swiss, EU, US, Canadian and Japanese nationalities (in total 44 new countries, for more information visit www.nomadsland.kg); passport should be with minimum of 6 months validity for period of 60 days maximum. Vaccination is not mandatory.

Though Kyrgyzstan evidenced caravans over 3000 years it is still a young developing country and infrastructure of villages is not at a very high level. Refusing hospitality might be offensive and in order to avoid misunderstanding one had better to read some guidebooks and other books about Kyrgyzstan before getting prepared to visit.
